Dynamic maps & swimming

For many, many years, I wanted there to be an easy way to have a dynamic map updated from a Google Spreadsheet. Why was it so hard and complex in the past is beyond me. But, in the era of AI and Vibe Coding, I decided to create something myself. Witin an hour I had it all working!

As a swimmer, I have the data of all the places I have ever same. So, I built a Google Map that is automatically updated with changes made to a Google Spreadsheet: Place I Swim.

Family ancestory

I am also deep into family ancestory. I have discovered a lot of interesting facts - from being a decendant of the Mayflower, a Middlemore boy, a Canadian homesteader and a Welsh mistress; to having an distant relative who specialized in butterflies; to an in-law who fought a bear infront of the Italian king.
