Andrej Verity

I am a digital humanitarian, AI strategist, and disaster responder with over 20 years of experience in international organizations. I specialize in bridging the gap between emerging technology and frontline humanitarian needs - from leading AI transformation and ethical governance to managing the high-stakes infrastructure for the major sites that respond to disasters globally.

I believe the best ideas are discovered through collaboration rather than individual brilliance. I am constantly seeking partners to challenge my logic, bring new pieces to the table, and help build the next generation of simple, high-impact humanitarian tools. Let’s start working.

I write about my work and related topics on my blog (subscribe email or LinkedIn) and in papers.

I also enjoy learning about history through a lense of trying to improve today. I researched 200 Years of Technology Milestones as part of a larger effort to eventually develop a humanitarian information management innovation framework.

On top of all that, I am also deep into family ancestory. I have discovered a lot of interesting facts - from being a decendant of the Mayflower, a Middlemore boy, a Canadian homesteader and a Welsh mistress to having an distant relative who specialized in butterflies to an in-law who fought a bear infront of the Italian king.
